The Key to Sustainable Economic Development: A Triple Bottom Line Approach

Concerns about improving social, environmental, and economic living standards are the basis of triple bottom line (TBL) link to development (ED). Aware importance studying their relationship, this article analysed influence TBL on ED. A quantitative methodology was used. The sample comprised a panel data from 2006 2019 for OECD (Organisation Economic Co-operation Development) countries. Five multiple linear regression models were estimated by generalised method moments. results study revealed that social dimension boosts ED, environmental slows down contains conflicting synergies in Human Development Index (HDI) should now include indicators wellbeing. Governments adopt policies improve wellbeing boost work coordinate objectives protection combat vulnerabilities arising public debt. As one first studies assess ED at country level, present findings contribute reflection country’s strengthens discussion around different dimensions TBL.
